About The District Edina

Built in 1972, what’s now known as The District Edina building has lived through a multiplicity of incarnations. From its original use housing a major insurance provider to its run as offices for a residential home builder, among other business, the building fell into disrepair in the early 2000’s

Saving it from possible demolition in 2020, owner Gregory Rich reimagined the space as a multi-tenant building on a most unusual site. Completely gutted and remodeled in the midst of the Covid epidemic, TDE now showcases a beautiful, glass-filled home to light, art, and energy.

With office spaces ranging in size from 400 - 5,000 square feet, companies ranging from kitchen showrooms to tech startups call The District Edina home.

What else sets the property apart? Its 3 1/2 wooded acre site is approached via a winding drive past it's life-sized bull sculpture (affectionately named Eduardo) over a bridge spanning 9 Mile Creek and into a spacious, 100 car perking lot. Three separate outdoor spaces include a patio overlooking 9 Mile Creek, a one-of-a-kind outdoor conference room, and a lovely water feature.

Moreover, the building enjoys tremendous visibility from both Highway 494 and 169. In taking advantage of the 140,000 cars that pass the building daily, a 100' square foot digital messaging board advertises tenant logos and offerings and events.

Lastly, the 8 person sun-filled conference room and exceptional common-space lounge is available to tenants and renters alike.
